Member of the Month June – Berne Chamber of Commerce
Black Bear Inn and Suites
The Berne Chamber of Commerce would like to announce The Black Bear Inn & Suites as our Member of the Month for June. The Chamber wishes to recognize new owners Roger and Naomi Muselman and the staff of Black Bear Inn & Suites for their commitment to Berne and the recent changes taking place.
On October 2, 2012 the Muselman’s purchased the 45 room hotel from Jerre Nichols. They chose to purchase the hotel in hopes helping to promote Berne as a tourist destination. Since the purchase Roger and Naomi have been busy updating and renovating the building to create a better experience for their customers all around.
A warm living room feel greets you as you enter the lobby area. The furniture is locally crafted and Amish décor is showcased throughout the room. The breakfast area is canvassed with brochures on local area attractions and information about Berne.
The rooms are receiving a new look as well. There is new paint on the walls and carpet on the floors as well as new beds and linens. The newly renovated rooms are available now!
A new addition to the Black Bear Inn is the Event Center. The Event Center is great for men’s & women’s retreats, family gatherings, and business meetings. The room is equipped with an 80 inch high quality audio and video television, a kitchenette, fireplace and seating area.
The Event Center and renovated rooms are available for reservations now. Call 260-589-8955 to secure the date for your family gathering, business retreat, or celebration!
With all the new and exciting changes coming to the Black Bear a new name is also on the horizon. The name change to Clock Tower Inn will come this year. Roger and Naomi are hopeful that first time visitors will venture to Berne to visit the Clock Tower and many of Berne’s other historical and unique attractions. The hotel will be there to serve the needs of visitors and citizen of Berne.
