First Bank of Berne July Member of the Month

Posted on Monday, July 09, 2012

The Berne Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce First Bank of Berne is our Member of the Month for July.  The Berne Chamber highlights First Bank of Berne for their recent acquisition of American Federal Savings Bank offices in Peru, Kokomo, and Bunker Hill Indiana.  The transition was complete in February of this year.
First Bank of Berne has serving the Berne community since 1891.  Over the past 121 years FBB has survived the Great Depression and grown to eight locations in four counties in Ohio and Indiana.  This strong growth now continues with the addition of the communities of Peru, Kokomo, and Bunker Hill growing the number to eleven locations in six counties.
The past couple years we have seen changes right here in Berne with the construction of the new Berne Branch location on US Hwy 27 on the north side of town.  The new branch as expanded teller space as well has offices for a complete customer experience.  The Berne Branch is open Monday – Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-6pm and Saturday 8am- Noon with Drive Up service available Monday- Thursday 8am-6pm, Friday 8am-7pm and Saturday 8am- Noon.
First Bank of Berne continues to be an award winning bank. In the June 2012 issue of the ICBA Independent Banker ® FBB was named an “ICBA 400 outstanding performing community bank”.  The magazine’s rankings are based on FBB’s year-end earnings and operational efficiencies.

The First Bank of Berne is a proud Berne Chamber Premier Member in the Mönch (Platinum Level).  Congratulations once again to the First Bank of Berne for being honored with our July Member of the Month.  To learn more about FBB go to www.firstbankofberne.com.
